If Freshman Experience forces you to purchase a meal plan, try going for the 14 or 10 meals a week. Unlimited is pointless if you aren't going to the dining hall super often. You can always buy breakfast and snack items to keep you going. I found 14 to be a good baseline and allows you to get an idea for the following semester If you live on campus you're forced to buy a freshman meal plan which includes 336 meal swipes per semester (which expire at the end of each semester) , 150 dining points per semester (which expire at the end of spring semester) and 50 buzzfunds per semester which never expire.
